Match Week 9 Preview

Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS) has four matchups scheduled for this weekend.

The Cleveland Crunch (Cleveland, Ohio) will travel to Michigan to face Red Cedar FC (Lansing, Mich.). Cleveland currently leads the MLIS standings with a 6-1 record and an .857 win percentage.

The Omaha Kings (Omaha, Neb.) will also be on the road, heading to Chicago for back-to-back games against the Chicago Mustangs and Chicago Panathinaikos (Chicago PAO). These matchups are set for Saturday at 7:00 PM CST and Sunday at 1:00 PM CST. Omaha sits in fourth place with a 4-2 record and a .667 win percentage, while Chicago PAO follows closely in fifth at 2-2. The Mustangs are in seventh with a 2-4 record.

Meanwhile, the Colorado Bucks (Denver, Colo.) will take on the Amarillo Bombers (Amarillo, Texas) Saturday at 7:00 PM CST. Amarillo holds second place in the league standings with a 3-1 record, while Colorado sits at 1-3.

With MLIS now past the halfway mark of the regular season, this weekend’s matchups—and those soon to come—will help solidify playoff seeds. However, with standings still tight, anything can happen.
