AMARILLO BOMBERS CLAIM 2025 MAJOR LEAGUE INDOOR SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP
The Amarillo Bombers won the 2025 Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS) Championship Sunday night, defeating the top-seeded Cleveland Crunch in overtime.
The final score was 10–8 in a back-and-forth match that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
Sunday night’s championship game opened with Cleveland scoring first, but Amarillo quickly answered. That trend continued throughout the match, with Cleveland holding the lead seven different times, but Amarillo responded each time to keep the game within reach.
Regulation ended in a tie, sending the game into overtime. Amarillo capitalized on their power play opportunities, while Cleveland couldn’t convert, securing the Bombers’ championship win.
More than 4,000 fans packed the Wolstein Center throughout the weekend, which featured the MLIS semifinals on Friday. Amarillo defeated Canada 5–4, while Cleveland cruised past Chicago PAO with a commanding 14–2 win.
On Saturday, the Women’s Major League Indoor Soccer (WMLIS) Championship saw the Chicago Mustangs take down Fort Wayne United 8–7 in another close matchup, which drew over 700 fans.
