Alexis Mendez's Record Night for Grand Rapids

CHICAGO, IL - Alexis Mendez has taken MLIS by storm. Playing in his first game with Rapid City FC, Mendez set two league records on February 11. He became the first MLIS player to score six goals in a game (three others have scored five in a game). He added three assists for a record nine-point night (Admir Suljevic of the Cleveland Crunch had eight points in a game on January 29).

Mendez's record setting night came in a 27-4 win over the Detroit Waza Flo. Rapid City's 27 goals were also a league record. 

Mendez will face off against Suljevic's Cleveland Crunch in Grand Rapids on Saturday in a battle of the Eastern Division's top two teams.
